ACTIVE Works News: Direct Links & Dashboards

When it comes to user-friendliness, the fewer clicks, the better. So we decided to simplify! The news for ACTIVE Works this week includes links that will help you and your participants get to the good stuff faster.

And we added even more detail to your event dashboard. We know how much event directors rely on those dashboards, and we’re going to keep building them out until you think they’re the best invention since the wheel.

Read the details for yourself:

What’s New: Direct Link to Registration
Event directors can now bypass their ACTIVE.com event details pages and provide participants with a URL that links directly to registration.

Why You Care
This cuts out an extra click for participants and gets them to your registration flow quicker. This is especially helpful for event directors who provide all event details on their own website and want to direct participants straight to the beginning of the Continue reading

ACTIVE Results News: 4 Improvements to the Results Tool

Ever since we released the new Results tool about a year ago, we’ve gotten some good reviews and feedback on the improved platform. But, as is to be expected, our work wasn’t done yet. Yes, you could edit the results mappings…but we wondered if the editing was as flexible as you needed it to be? And the new design was more user friendly…but was it the friendliest it could be? You get the idea. The good news is that we’re making progress and have been fine-tuning the Results tool to be even better for you.

Here are four improvements we’ve made that we think you’ll like: Continue reading

ACTIVE Works News: New Financial Reporting

Ok, we know it was only this morning that we told you about the new event set-up flow in ACTIVE Works. But we just this moment launched two more things that are important to know about (and very cool). And they relate to your money and financial insights, so we wanted to tell you right away!

What’s New: Revenue Report
This brand new report will replace the Payment Report and Transcription Report. (Don’t panic! Those two reports will be around for awhile.) You can now view a detailed breakdown of your payments from ACTIVE and revenue details by event for those of you who put on multiple events.  EVERYTHING from the Payment and Transcription Reports (and then some) is Continue reading

ACTIVE Works News: Event Set-Up Flow Changes

We’ve added something to your race management software that will help you take a big leap ahead when it comes to setting up an event.

What’s New: Event Set-Up Flow
The next time you set up an event, you’ll notice that the user interface looks and acts a bit different. You’ll be guided step by step through the process with a friendly set-up wizard. Your existing events will also appear in the new interface…if you need to edit them, look to the right of the screen. That’s where the navigation will now live.  Continue reading

ACTIVE Works News: “Sold Out”/”On Hold” Category Messaging

For this week’s edition of Product Talk, we’ve got an update to ACTIVE Works that will make things a lot clearer to your participants.

What’s New: Updated “Sold Out”/ “On Hold” Category Messaging
Previously if you had a category that was sold out or on hold, those notifications would appear in tiny gray print that was on the opposite side of the page from the price. That confused some people, especially when they found out late that they couldn’t enter these categories…which is not a good customer experience and naturally upset some folks. Continue reading

ACTIVE Works News: VIP Email Customizations

A few customers have told us that they want more ways to find out what’s new in ACTIVE Works (aka everyone’s favorite race management software). Yes, emails are sent but I think we all know what most inboxes look like and it ain’t pretty. So we’re going to start posting more regularly about our product updates on this blog. Whenever you see the title “ACTIVE Works News,” you know it’s about a new feature we added to our software. And you can simply click on “Product Talk” in the navigation bar to read through a list of the latest and greatest additions.

Here we go for this week… Continue reading

What You Missed in 2012: Product Talk Round Up

The Summer Olympics in London. Obama’s reelection.  Honey Boo Boo. Some big things happened in 2012, but in our world we’ve been focused on building up our event management platform, ACTIVE Works®.

In case you missed the news about some of our latest features (maybe because you couldn’t peel your eyes off of Felix Baumgartner’s space plummet?), here’s a run down from the past year: Continue reading

Holiday Customer Support – We’re Here!

The busy holidays are upon us, but don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging. Technical support for ACTIVE Works®, Registration Center, ACTIVE Giving, Volunteer Management, and Results is still available, we’ve simply scaled it back a bit. Many of our staff will be taking a break for the holidays between December 24 and January 1, so we may be slower to respond than usual, but we are still here to help you! And we’ll be back up to speed as of January 2nd.

Here’s a quick summary of our holiday support schedule for your reference: Continue reading

Registration Protector: Because Stuff Happens

Odds are most of your participants don’t have mothers who send them out into the world encased in bubble wrap, so there will be lots of reasons people can’t make it to your start line – injury, car trouble, job loss, etc. Instead of just saying “Life sucks!” and having to write off the registration fee, race directors can now protect that money for both the participants and for the event.

Introducing Registration Protector
This cool new feature allows participants to fully insure their registration fee, covering many reasons for cancellation. Registration Protector acts as a huge incentive for people to register for events (early), without any financial or customer service risk to that event.
