The best part about working in the endurance industry is everyone’s commitment to improvement. From rookie runners to veteran race directors, everyone you meet is actively trying to beat a personal best in some form or fashion. That’s why ACTIVE Network is proud to support endurance conferences like the annual Running USA Industry Conference and Mass Participation Asia, which make it possible for event directors to continue to grow and improve not only themselves but the entire industry as well.
What is Mass Participation Asia?
Ever since its inaugural meeting in 2015, Mass Participation Asia (MPA) has become Asia’s leading annual mass participation sports conference. This year, MPA returns to Singapore on Dec. 10, 2018 for two days of educational programming. Delegates can expect a host of curated speakers, content and networking opportunities in our continuous effort to foster collaboration and drive best practices across the mass participation industry.
Keynote speakers this year include notable industry figureheads such as:
- Azran Osman-Rani of Naluri
- Paul Sinton-Hewitt, CBE from Parkrun
- Shayne Bannan of Greenedge Cycling
- Tim Hadzima from Abbot World Marathon Majors
MPA also has a host of breakout sessions to choose from that will provide valuable insights into top challenges facing endurance professionals today, such as the rise of eSports and new AI innovations. These informational sessions feature a wide range of both commercial and operational topics, so whether you are an event-based business, a sponsor, a government body or even an NPO, there is something for everyone.

Why Attend This Conference?
If the educational opportunities aren’t attractive enough, Mass Participation Asia is also a fantastic networking opportunity. MPA features a robust mix of local and international delegates and is an excellent opportunity to meet and connect with a wide variety of attendees. As always, there will be networking opportunities woven into the programing, so you never have to feel like you’re sacrificing education for socialization.
Earlier this year, MPA announced it was partnering with Running USA in a continued effort to foster collaboration and drive best practice in the recreational running industry in Asia. Under this new partnership agreement, Running USA will support programming efforts for the 2018 MPA conference on the topics of sponsorship and marketing, and the two organizations will collaborate on a comparative research study. This is a huge step for the endurance industry in terms of working together on a global scale to further the affect of the endurance industry worldwide.
ACTIVE Network is on a mission to make the world a more active place, and it cannot do this without the support of organizations like Running USA and MPA. The annual conferences that these two bodies host are so valuable because they continue to grow and enrich the industry we love.
